RTB LOC.id App – Privacy Policy

This privacy policy will explain how RTB GmbH & CO. KG (“RTB”, “our”, “we”) uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our mobile application LOC.id (“App”).

What data do we collect?
Our app accesses the following data:
- Your precise location. LOC.id is meant to assist you in traffic and public transport. Therefore, the app needs to know exactly where you are.
If you opt in to analytics, our app additionally collects information that helps us improve LOC.id:
- Your device model.
- Your Android version.
- Events with timestamp. Only when interacting with supported devices e.g. activating traffic light acoustics, the exchanged messages are logged.
How do we collect your data?
We collect and process your data after you install our App on your phone and grant us with the permission to access your data.
In case of analytics data, we only start to collect it after you enable the option in settings. And then, only when interaction with one of our supported devices starts.
How will we use your data?
RTB uses your data solely to fulfill the purpose of our app:
- Helping you navigate your city and public transport
By default, no record of your personal data is kept on the phone or uploaded to our servers.
If you allow us to collect analytics data
We will use analytics data to find errors and improve the LOC.id app. A unique identifier is created, in order to link the data to one device. You can reset the identifier by deleting the app’s data in the system’s settings. The analytics data will be stored on the phone and will be uploaded to our servers. On our servers the data is stored securely and access is restricted to our developers working with LOC.id.
Do we share your data?
No. We do not share your data with any other company or third party.
What are your data protection rights?
RTB would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request RTB for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that RTB correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request RTB to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that RTB erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that RTB restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to RTB’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that RTB transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
